Sarah was the wife of Abraham and mother of Isaac. Though she was barren and past the age of childbearing (90 years old), she believed God's promise and gave birth to Isaac. Her name means 'princess' or 'noblewoman.' She is listed in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11:11 as the mother of nations. She died at 127 years old and was buried in the cave of Machpelah.
