Antonia D'Amburgo was born July 20, 1842, in Naples, Italy. She joined the Congregation of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd and became known for her extraordinary humility, charity, and mystical gifts. She suffered from poor health throughout her life but bore her sufferings with profound faith. She was known for her devotion to the Eucharist and her compassion for the poor and marginalized. She died April 1, 1888, in Naples and was beatified by Pope John Paul II in 1982.
